Our 2011 Petit Barone has a dark red/black color, with impressive saturation. In the glass, the density of the wine is immediately apparent and it offers up aromas of black cassis and cherry fruits, Tahitian vanilla and other exotic spices. Once on the palate, the richness alluded to by the density is confirmed, with supple, sweet tannins gliding past loads of blackberry and currant juices. Full-bodied and broad in the mouth, the finish is long and full of flavor. Quite delicious now, it will continue to develop for 3-5 years, and will likely drink well through 2025 (and beyond), should you choose to lay it down in your cellar.
